The seasonal transition into the colder months is speeding right around the corner leaving us saying “Wow, summer really flew by this year huh?”
Busting out the rakes and leaf bags may be a pain lingering all too familiarly in the back of our minds, with the thought of snow shoveling causing head and backaches state-wide.
Although your yearly Fall lawn care might seem hard and overbearing, dressing stylish and comfortable this season while also staying green doesn’t need to be!
Prepping for the season of crisp walks and hot cider brings the need to address the current state of your closet. Seemingly overgrown with shorts, tank tops, and t-shirts you realize you may have gone a little overboard with last years spring closet purge.
No need to worry! Below I’ve compiled a list of 4 stores to find your perfect fall date, pumpkin patch trip, or even winter trekking adventure outfit!
1. Time Bomb Vintage
3543 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55406
Starting off strong is one of my most frequented and personal favorites, Time Bomb Vintage
Located right off of Lake Street this store has it all with a wide selection of jackets, sweaters, pants, and even some classic U of M alumni apparel!
What makes this stop so special however is getting lost in the ever-growing collection of vintage dishware, collectables, records, and even old gaming systems!
Definitely a must stop for anybody looking to kill some time with friends and family all while keeping it green and shopping sustainably.
2. Chromatic MN
713 Minnehaha Ave E, St. Paul, MN 55106
Next pick is for the trendier dresser, carrying a wide selection of well priced vintage designer, and a seemingly infinite supply of carefully curated vintage pieces sourced from both Minnesota and Japan!
Of course I’m talking about Chromatic Minnesota! Located over in the St. Paul warehouse district.
You will have no problem spending hours getting lost in the racks and bins, bragging to your friends about who got the best/most unique find that day.
3. Hunt and Gather
4946 Xerxes Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410
Coming in at number 3, we have a Minneapolis local favorite, Hunt and Gather!
As the name suggests, walking into this wonderland of a store truly makes this stop a treasure hunt for the adventurous and dedicated shopper!
With two floors stocked to the brim with stickers, clothing, antiques, vinyls, and everything in between, this is the perfect all day one stop shop for those with an adventurous taste and style looking to find the perfect pair of jeans, or even some unique decor for their home.
And even when it seems as though it can’t get any better, they even have a huge outdoor lot filled with beautiful up-cycled letters, plants, and pottery!
Locally owned and operated and truly hard to miss, this is by far the most diverse vintage/antique store in the city, hosting items for anyone and everyone looking to find some one of a kind items.
4. B-Squad Vintage
3500 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408
At our final number 4 spot comes vintage clothing powerhouse B-Squad Vintage!
No frills here and straight to business, B-Squad Vintage is fully stocked from front to backdoor with a seemingly endless and carefully curated vintage clothing supply.
From faux-fur hats, leather jackets, bowties, and cowboy boots, B-Squad is my favorite pick for those looking to add some fresh and new styles to their closet/wardrobe.
Truly a store with something for everybody, B-Squad is the perfect place to take family, friends, partners, and everyone in-between for an afternoon of thrifting and searching!
Plus after all of that digging, you can easily find yourself right across the street at the locally owned, Hola Arepa, for some much needed food and drink to reward yourself after a day of hard work.
There are so many more great stores, and shops throughout our wonderful City and State, and I would love to hear what else you find!
Now as we reach the end of this article, plan a day, grab a coffee, and get out there and see what you can find!
Remember to keep it sustainable, and support our locals!
Stay warm and happy hunting!
